Hernandez Family in St. Amant, LA

My name is Mindy Brickman and I am the immediate past president of the Princeton Alumni Association of New Orleans. During my time as president, I had the opportunity to get to know Allen Hernandez '16 from St. Amant, LA. The Princeton alumni in Louisiana have been proud to have Allen representing our state at the best place of all for the past 4 years. Local alums know Allen as the triplet from St. Amant, one of the stars of the Triangle show that was supposed to perform in New Orleans this year but got snowed in at Princeton, and the recipient of our prestigious Princeton Louisiana Scholarship.

Anyone who knows Allen understands that his family means everything to him. Sadly, his is one of the many families that was hit hard with the most recent flooding in South Louisiana. His family's home (pictured here) is flooded and destroyed, and his family has lost everything. Those of us in New Orleans know all too well the horrors of a flooded home and a destroyed neighborhood. We also know that insurance money only comes so quickly and only goes so far, so we have set up this GoFundMe account to help Allen's family deal with immediate needs of housing, clothing, and the supplies of daily living as well something to help them start the rebuilding process.
