Tara Beardsly has been taking care of other people for most of her life. Between her children, step children, other family members, and anyone else who needed her, she's left little time or energy for taking care of herself. Up until the beginning of the pandemic she had been working 3 jobs, and when she had to leave two of them (giving up a huge chunk of her income) due to health concerns, she didn't qualify for any assistance because she still had her main job at the school district making sure that food continued to be available for all of Beacon's children. Even with the school buildings closed, the meal programs still continued and her commitment to the kids never wavered.
This summer Tara underwent a long overdue surgery, and that surgery led to complications that have resulted in two additional hospital stays. The medical bills, including medications that come with $95 co-pays and an ambulance ride that her son had to call for in the early morning hours from her second severe allergic reaction, have been piling up. Her recovery time extended and she and her husband have had to miss more and more work.
Tara's not big on asking for help, but given the current circumstances I was able to get her blessing on this exception. If you're able, please donate to help this amazing family get through this difficult time.
Thank you so much!
