My name is Mieka and I'm from Evansville, Indiana. I am raising money for my aunt and uncle in Denham Springs, Louisiana who lost everything due to the recent flooding. The money raised will be spent on rent for a new house, furniture, clothes, food, and any other necessities to live because they lost absolutely everything in their home. 

This is a picture of my Aunt and Uncle's house and car down in Denham Springs, Louisiana. Saturday, August 13, 2016 I learned that the most caring, loving, and genuine people lost their home, car, and ALL of their personal belongings including furniture, family pictures, and much more to the flooding in Denham Springs, Louisiana. With water as high as their kitchen countertops, even Aunt Jeanetta's Kenny Chesney memorabilia couldn't be saved. When a tragedy like this happens, there's not much people can do but pray. Pray for safety, pray for love, and pray for healing. Aunt Jeanetta and Uncle Wayne are constantly giving their love and support to ANYONE who walks into their home, so I think it's only appropriate to return the favor. This year for our family has been extremely rocky, and this is just another way God is challenging us to stay strong. I'm not asking for a lot, just a little. Once the water recedes (hopefully) and things try to go back to normal, I just want them to have a roof over their head, clothes on their back, and food on the table because right now, Louisiana is in a state of hurt. I'm reaching out to family, friends, and friends of friends to help in any way they can! Anything is greatly appreciated, and I know Aunt Jeanetta will probably cry when she reads this. I love y'all with all my heart and more than anything I wish I were there to help. Because I'm all the way up here in Indiana, I want you help you in any way I can.
