My friend Marla, along with her husband,Tim, and their three children have been evacuated from their home due to the massive flooding in Baton Rouge. This remarkable family has no flood insurance and have lost everything in their home. Their son is supposed to start his freshman year at LSU, and is stranded in his dorm room at this time.
At times like this, I often feel helpless and frustrated that anything I do can only scratch a tiny mark in the surface of need.
If you are so inclined, I am asking my fb friends to consider making a small donation to help them in these next months as they try and find a place to live and work to recover their home.
At the administrators request I am stating that I have been a friend of Marla's for nearly 20 years. The funds raised here will be used to help the family clean up their flooded home and replace items ruined in the flooding. Marla will be able to access these funds directly.
