Jeff's ER medical expenses
Donation protected

I have set up a fundraiser for our brother Jeff Thao to help cover his unexpected medical expenses. Jeff took his annual trip to Wisconsin on Saturday, 08/13/16, and an unfortunate event happened. On Saturday night, he went out with some cousins to a local bar in Wausau. A fight broke out at the bar that didn't involve him. Beer bottles were thrown, and Jeff was hit and cut badly by a beer bottle. He was rushed to the Emergency Room by an ambulance and received 52 stitches to his face and neck. What was suppose to be a trip full of fun, family time, and most importantly, a relaxed vacation before school started again for him, turned into a nightmare.
Those that know Jeff or of him knows he is a well respected, fun, kind hearted guy. He would give you the shirt off his back, the last dollar in his wallet. This is a tragic event, and I understand events like this is unpredictable. He happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. As he is optimistic and carries a positive attitude regarding this event, we know he needs assistance. He is ready to come back home to figure out what he needs to do to take care of himself.
Although he has insurance, they will not cover his ER visits. Now he must pay most of these expenses out of pocket! All funds we raise with your help will go directly towards his medical bills, medication, ointment, bandages, etc. As he heals, we want to make sure he is not financially stressing. We hope you can help us raise enough to cover Jeff’s medical expenses.
As many of you know, Jeff will be finishing up his last year in college starting next week at USF. Working and going to school full time is already stressful. He's always striving to be a better person each and every day. I know he won't let this tragic event pull him down. Jeff has never been one to ask for help but he deserves it!
We appreciate any donation. Even if you can't donate, please wish him well and for a fast recovery.
Thank you!
