Our ClassMate, 2002 SCO Graduate, Chris Wroten and his family have been devastated by the flooding in Louisiana. Here is his description to me via text:
"It's not pretty here...our house, cars & Denham Springs office under several feet of water & we weren't in a floodplain so no one had home flood insurance...we never have high water even throug hurricanes but 25" of rain in about 36 hours caused river several miles away to crest 5 ft above previous highest recorded level in history...came up so fast we were evacuated by Nat'l Fuard in a 5-ton troop transport Saturday in 5 ft of water in street at house...my cousin picked us up on side of road at drop off point & now at his house & ok but still can't get out (floodwater within a mile in every direction). Will be a long road to recovery but grateful everything that really matters is safe..."
This GofundMe page has been created so that you and I can give Chris a helping hand. For those of us that know him through AOA, SCO or in anything he does, we know that he is always the first to lend us a hand when we need it. Please join me in helping make thier "long road to recover" a little shorter.
This page was created by Ryan Powell, 2002 ClassMate of Chris Wroten and SCO Board of Trustees Member with Chris. All funds raised here will go directly to Chris and his family.
