We are trying to help our friends Sherry & Dave, and their son Sammy.
On Friday Aug. 12, a fire in the kitchen rendered their home unliveable, and although their friends, family, and colleagues have been extremely supportive, they still need our help.
I had the privilege of working with Sherry and Dave to buy this home last year, and they had plans to renovate it into their dream home. They put so much time, money and energy (and some of Dave's blood) into this home, and they kept me updated throughout the year as they slowly but surely made progress on the renovations. It was finally completed, and they moved all of their furniture and belongings into the home when this fire struck and competely devastated them.
They were not harmed by the fire, but their dog, Roxy unfortunately did not make it. Not only are they left with thousands of dollars in repairs to make to their newly finished, fully renovated home, but they now mourn the loss of their family dog.
Sherry and Dave are both incredibly hard working, positive, and generous people. I saw just how excited they were to move in, and how they worked so hard to complete their first home and make it everything they dreamed of.

They were able to move back into their townhouse, but were left with nothing but Sammy's pack-n-play and an air mattress to sleep on.
They did not have insurance on the home at the time of the fire, and they will need our help to make very expensive home repairs, purchase clothes and necessary household items, and to put their life back together following this tragic incident. Any donation you can make, and any support you can provide in this difficult time is most appreciated.
