please help my parents keep their home

Dear Friends,
We all know that life isn’t easy, and that’s a lesson I know my parents face every day. For over a decade they have gotten by with staying positive and not letting their situation get them down. Our family has been struggling since the economy collapsed over 10 years ago, when my Dad lost his job.
Rising to this challenge he has worked really hard to keep our family financially afloat, despite being unable to find steady work. To make ends meet he has been taking on freelance consultancy work. However, it is unreliable, inconsistent, and many times he has not been paid for his work. Under our financial circumstances, he has been unable to afford to take legal action and receive what was owed. In trying to find corporate work, he has faced ageism, often being told he is ‘overqualified’ for a position (code for too old), or not even receiving a call or email in response. In the face of these challenges, he continues to rise to the occasion and work tirelessly to secure a stable future. Through the increasing stress of their situation, he has currently been building a business bringing health technology into the North and South American market. He has a business offer scheduled for the first week of March.
Over the last 10 plus years, I have watched my mother work diligently on creating and growing a business bringing yoga therapy to her community. She works from 5 am to 10 pm with hardly a day off, working through holidays to make sure that she is doing her utmost to support the family and bringing joy and healing into everyone’s life that she touches.
Despite doing their best, my parents lost the house to bank 2 years ago. My mother was pushed to file for bankruptcy to delay the foreclosure, but things just don’t work out sometimes. It was a huge blow to lose the home they raised me and my sister in, but they took it in stride and moved into the apartment they currently live in. With my parent’s spotty income it has even been difficult for them to keep up with monthly rent payments. Unfortunately, after exhausting all their resources they find themselves in a desperate situation.
I still can’t believe I’m writing this plea for help from the community, but this is our last resort. After watching my parents struggle for the last 10 years to maintain their lives, I have just found out they are facing eviction and have been unable to pay their rent for the last 3 months. They have been given 7 days to pay their balance which is totaling $5400. Unfortunately, my father has been bedridden with phneumonia and pleurisy for two weeks. His recovery has been concerningly slow. Due to his illness, he has been unable to put his usual energy towards finding a resolution.
I would like to ask for your help to make sure they don’t lose their home again. My parents just need some extra time to get to the business meeting in March to secure more financial stability. If they get evicted, they would be forced to move across country into my two bedroom apartment in Boulder, Colorado. However, this is not at all an ideal situation as my mother would be losing the roots of her business network and the community of students and friends that have become a part of her life. Her entire income depends on the New York/New Jersey area, along with the continued and impossible added costs of moving.
With everything that has happened, we are trying to keep positive and find the best end to this situation. It would mean everything to me if my parents could keep their home and have some stability regarding their situation.
