CS Employee Assistance Fund

This most recent flooding has touched many families that we know in our communities including members of the Connector Specialists Family. As our friends deal with their individual circumstances, we wanted to pull together and provide assistance where possible. We setup this fund so that we can help those effected through this disaster. Below is a brief introduction to the employees impacted and their current circumstances.

Lance Perron has been with our Lafayette branch for 8 years.  He is a member of the warehouse staff and, as one of our Certified Polyflex Assemblers, spends most of his days building and testing ultra-high pressure Polyflex assemblies.  Lance’s raised home was impacted by flooding with a few inches getting into the interior causing damage to flooring and furniture.  His primary concern at the moment is the foundation and insulation underneath the home.  Several structural blocks were cracked or shifted during the flooding and the insulation is completely saturated.

Aubrey Achord is the Branch Manager in Lafayette.  A 32 year veteran of the company, Aubrey has spent the majority of his career helping our Lafayette branch, known locally as CSI, grow into one of the most respected distributors on the gulf coast.  Aubrey’s subdivision sustained significant flooding.  His home took on several inches of water and he is currently working to get things gutted where necessary to begin the repair process.

Brandon Winston will begin his 9th year with our Baton Rouge group in November.  Brandon has continued to be a valuable member of the team in Baton Rouge having worked as a Driver, Warehouse Associate, ParkerStore Associate, and ParkerStore Manager.  Most recently, he has advanced his career further by being promoted to Customer Service Representative.  Brandon’s home has received significant damage from floodwaters and continues to have 4 feet of standing water as of 8/16/2016.  He only had time to save the most valuable possessions, and has a very long road to ahead.  He continues to be positive and is looking forward to getting back to begin the rebuilding process.

David Bourg has been with our Baton Rouge branch for 2 years.  Working as a Warehouse Associate, he is continuing to learn the nuances of the fluid power business and hopes to advance his career with the company.  David and his family were home in there Baton Rouge apartment early Saturday morning when flood waters began to rise quickly.  So much so, that they had to be evacuated by boat.  While they were able to escape to safety, just about all personal items along with both vehicles are a total loss.  David is no stranger to natural disaster, having lost everything once before with Katrina.  He’s already managed to secure a new apartment, but will be starting completely from scratch.  Again.

Connector Specialists has established a gofundme page to gather donations for this cause and will match 100% of contributions made!! Any donation amount is welcomed and very much appreciated.
