Flood Recovery for Allums family
My family in Louisiana is in dire need of basic necessities after being displaced by the flood in Denham Springs.
My brother Thomas and his family (Arianne, Ava age 8, Cohen age 4) are staying with family after chest-high water invaded their home, which they were sharing with Ari's parents Chris & Judy. Thomas and Chris' vehicles are now underwater. All they have are the clothes on their backs & whatever they could grab with 30 minutes' notice.
My sister Clara and her family (Marcel, Mason age 17, Tanner age 11) have water damage in their new home, high water in the home they just moved out of, and have lost a vehicle. They had flood insurance, which will help a bit.
They were all evacuated Sunday by the National Guard or via good samaritans, and are safe with family now. All funds go directly to my family to acquire basics (clothing, shoes, food, toiletries) and over the next month will be used for recovery efforts (renting trailers, clean up supplies). Every little bit helps!
Thank you for your donations, or even just your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
I will be posting pictures of their properties as soon as they can get access to check on them. This may give you an idea of the devastation in our hometown:Their nearby grocery store
