While we all watch the devastation rising flood waters are having in south Mississippi and Louisiana it's difficult to know how to help.
I want to reach out to my friends in the Broadmoor family and the MRA family for some assistance for some of our own. Lance & Vanessa Sceroler, John & Tisha Thomas, and Cliff Mitchell all have family that have been devastated by flood waters in Baton Rouge & Denham Springs. While we would love to help everyone this is good place to start. These families do not have flood insurance and will incur a serious financial burden. We are organizing a team to go down and take care of this for them so we will need your help. As soon as we can get in with materials and labor we can start the process and will need some volunteer labor. However, we also need help raising funds for materials. Anything will help. $20 will buy 2 sheets of Sheetrock so please know even small amounts are huge! You can make checks out to Broadmoor Baptist to receive tax deduction.
