On August 12, 2016 Felecia and her son, Koen, were victims of the flooding that ravished South Louisiana. They lost their home. They lost their clothes. They lost their food. They've lost Koen's schools supplies for the first day of Kindergarten. They've lost Felecia's school supplies that will allow her to finish her nursing degree.

I lived in Baton Rouge, LA for the past 10 years and first met Felecia when she taught my daughter a mommy + me gymnastics class. Felecia had a son similar to my daughter's age and the two toddlers became fast friends.

Today our family lives in Utah, but watching the community we loved so dearly slowly be swallowed up by water is devastating. I set up this page so I can begin to help my friend as the water still rises.

Felecia is an amazing mom to Koen. She has been since the day he was born. She works incredibly hard to provide for them while she works full-time and goes to school. Given that FEMA only provides up to $33,000 for rebuilding and many will not be covered by flood insurance since they've NEVER experienced flooding--any amount you can share will help this family immensely. All funds go directly to Felecia and Koen.
