Tony & Dolly's Needs Your Support
As many of you know, my sister and brother-in-law, Mary and Tony Ashcraft took over the operation of Dolly's Farmhouse Restaurant in Austell , Ga last November. Tony has dreamed of owning his own restaurant for as long as I can remember and the opportunity came his way. They have poured their heart and soul into this place, along with many family and friends. The support and encouragement has been overwhelming. They have enjoyed the family friendly atmosphere that comes from the passion they have for serving others. The business grew to pretty much what they were hoping for and is still growing. Things were going very well, and then this past May, Tony was not feeling well for a while and found out he would have to have what was suppose to be a simple outpatient surgery. Instead, the surgery caused him to have more pain than one person should ever have to experience. For the next 6 or so weeks, he was in and out of the hospital three times, and has had every test known to man to try and figure out why he was having such pain. He couldn't work, couldn't sleep, and literally could not function. He became so stressed and disappointed about the restaurant that I was afraid depression might set in. Tony was putting in 60 plus hours a week, so when he was not able to work, the employees had to cover those hours. They did an excellent job of keeping their business running, however, the overtime they were putting in has set them back tremendously. Those of you who own your own business know that no one takes care of your business like you do. No one pays attention to the amount of utilities you use, supplies you need, all that goes along with owning your own business and its always on your mind to make sure the things that need to be done, get done. They have suffered a great set back.
Tony is better than he was, but is still not back to complete health, the doctors are still working with him to try and figure all of this out. He is back to work while continuing to try and regain his strength. They have the business, and their customers have been so wonderful, but his setback has made it very difficult for them to catch up from when he was out. They have made all the changes that they can possibly make in order to try and keep the restaurant open. This GoFundMe Campaign is pretty much a last chance to continue this business they so love, and would give them a little breathing room so that Tony can completely recover and get back to being his happy, outgoing self again.
If you can’t support them in this endeavor financially, I would ask that you support them with your prayers for financial relief and complete healing for Tony.
May God Bless each one of you as you prayerfully consider how God would have you give.
With much love,
Becky Loggins
