As many of you know, the State of Louisiana has been hit by catastrophic rains and flooding over the past week. So much so that Louisiana Governor, John Bel Edwards, was forced to declare a state of emergency. In this most recent disaster to befall the State, 4 people have died, more than 7,000 residents have been rescued, and there are now over 5,000 fellow Americans displaced into shelters.
One of my closest friends shared a similar fate as home was taken by the floods. This campaign is to help this gentle giant of a man rebuild. My dear friend and business partner, Chuck Bush, and his three young children were evacuated from their home just before the floods claimed it. Those of you who know Chuck Bush know the size of this man's heart and what he gives to the community, church, friends and family. "Fandango" fans will also know him as "Dorman" from the 1985 film. My heart is broken for Chuck and his family. I wish I lived closer so I could do more for him.
While still miraculously recovering from the effects of a stroke back in 2010, Chuck wasn't physically able to move quickly enough to save many of his possessions. To add insult to injury, while Chuck makes the bulk of his living working from home, the floods claimed a large amount of his film industry-related equipment as well.
Please know that no donation is to small and that all donations will go directly to Chuck and his family as they rebuild. Please keep Chuck and his family in your prayers.
