Jose's Medical Bills/Expenses

On Wednesday, August 10th, 2016 around 9 p.m., Las Cruces police officers were dispatched after a 911 call and found Jose Angel Eguia, 21, on North Main Street, suffering from multiple stab wounds. Police said the incident occurred at an apartment complex in the 100 block of West Lucero Avenue, but Jose had walked a short distance to North Main Street after being stabbed.
Jose told police that he had been house-sitting an apartment when his attacker, who also lives in the complex, knocked on the door. When he opened the door, his attacker stepped in and stabbed him repeatedly and fled the scene. The first responding officer said he found Jose with several stab wounds to his chest, back, head, arms and legs and defensive wounds on his hands. Jose was in critical condition when he was transported to University Medical Center in El Paso on Wednesday evening. He remains in the ICU and has already had multiple surgeries to address his injuries.
Jose is an extremely kind hearted and outgoing individual, the type of person that can make friends anywhere he goes. He is also very family oriented, especially when it comes to his younger sisters. He especially enjoys spending time listening to music, hanging with his friends and playing the guitar. We never would have anticipated something like this to happen to him and we just want to have him back in our lives. The money collected will be used to help with Jose’s medical expenses and to provide him with the care that he needs. It will also help allow our immediate family members to be able to stay by his side for the necessary duration of time, while he is in recovery.
Any donation, even in the smallest amount, would be greatly appreciated to help Jose and our family recuperate after this horrific event.
