Hugh and Vicki's Flood Fund

Donation protected
Hugh and Vicki's(my in-laws) house in Baton Rouge received 29 inches of water and a lot of work is needed for them to once again live in their house.

The picture above is Vicki in a kiddie pool tied to her porch waiting for help.   Along with their neighbor, they were able to get to a shelter.  They had to overcome rapids on their way to the shelter, so strong that Hootie went under the water twice.

Any amount of money will help them get back on their feet and repair their house.  The money raised through this campaign will be used to get all new appliances for their home, new beds, furniture, kitchen cabinets, most floor will need to be replaced and the dry wall.  They are apply for a FEMA grant which will give them $33,000, but as we all know this does not come close to the cost of what is needed to get their house back to where they can live in it.

Vicki(who retired on June 30th) and Hootie just retired and were looking forward to spending their time traveling to see their grandchildren and now they will have to rebuild their home and personal belongings.

I am Vicki and Hootie's daughter in-law and live in Pittsburgh.  Seth is going to drive down on August29th with a truck that was donated by our friends, which is incredible.  Vicki and Hootie will be the only ones who will withdraw the funds and use them specifically for the repair of their house.
