Gwen's Louisiana Flood Relief Fund
Donation protected

UPDATE: 8-16-'16
Wow! The outpouring of care from old & new friends, FB friends and complete strangers is a thing of beauty! 'Yay' for the kindness of fellow humans!
I've been guilty of not 'giving' before, because I thought it wouldn't count or wasn't enough. I had concerns about starting this campaign because I thought I wouldn't do it well enough. Lesson learned! Gwen is so grateful for everyone who has 'shown up.'
Campaign created by Brie Darling: I live in Los Angeles where I became great friends for 40 years with Gwen Sagona. Gwen called (my same phone firm in her memory) 3 days ago, from a church in Baton Rouge, LA, where she and her dad (in hospice) had been evacuated during the current flood.
YESTERDAY: Gwen was finally able to contact me. She's doing okay, dealing with the aftermath. She's out of sorts, but grateful that her home, most of her belongings and her animals survived. Unfortunately, her father did not.
She'll have a lot to deal with coming up... If everyone that responded to this campaign gives even a few dollars, she will benefit greatly! It's hard for us fortunates to understand how this kind of devastation can knock you on your butt. Gwen's always been a fighter, she'll get up. Please help if you can...
She knows of the outpouring of love & support on Facebook and is so grateful that we are thinking of, and care about her. She can arrange to retrieve all the funds herself directly from GoFundMe. She'll need money for basic stuff, food, communication, repairing and replacing damages, mobility/transportation.
If you know of someone you think might want to contribulte, please share this. When you are down to just about nothing, this is a huge deal...So, thank you ALL!
