On June 4, 2024, Monica was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma breast cancer. She went for her routine mammogram when they noticed a mass in her left breast. She had her port installed on July 2, and began chemo on July 12. Luckily, they caught it early and her doctor said it's treatable.

As you can imagine, she has a long journey ahead of her. After six rounds of chemo, she will have to have surgery to remove the cancer and then do radiation. She has medical insurance through her job, but there are still a lot of expenses that are not covered. The cost alone to have her port installed was over 16k. Monica is a very kind and giving person so I am asking that you help in any way that you can to alleviate some of the stress of her mounting medical bills. It's stressful enough to have to deal with everything she has already gone through and will have to go through, and medical expenses should not have to be a part of that.
