Steven R. Lombardi
October 5, 1955 - August 10, 2016
Montville, New Jersey
An Angel from God, a husband, a father, a relative, a friend. A "man" in every sense of the word. He was a kind soul who would help anyone and everyone whether you asked for help or you may have needed help but didn't come to ask. He had a unique sense, he would offer his assistance as if you or the one he was helping had asked him first. This is a highly unusual gift from God to be a kind, pure, kind hearted person like the friend and co-worker that I had "Steve". For anyone that knew Steve you knew that you could always count on him 200% as he would NEVER let you down. He was a doer and wanted to make a difference in others and always did so with a wonderful smile.
I write to you today to ask you to open your hearts and your purse and return a little back to Steve's wife and family. You see, I was fortunate to know this man and work with him for the past 4 years. Steve and his wife Eileen and his children's life changed when Hurricane Sandy destroyed their home in Montville NJ on October 29, 2012. Their insurance company found many loopholes to delay paying the insurance claims on a policy that was paid and in good standing all because thier home was not near the water and the greed of the Insurance Company. Steve and his family moved from home to home "temporary housing" and at the same time exhausted thier retirement monies, savings to fight the insurance company for the past 3-4 years and pick up the pieces.
This proud man did the best he could to fight the fight but his pure soul could not keep up with the tremendous stress and pressure that they had been faced with. This wonderful man, person, husband and father left us (passed).
I urge you to make a difference in a family's life that truly needs your support and help. Please don't send flowers or make donations to any cause other than to assist Eileen and her family. Our goal is to raise no less than $100,000 in memory of Steve for his wife an family. This family truly needs your help. Donations can be made directly on gofundme.com
In memory of Steven R. Lombardi a wake will be held Monday August 15, 2016 between 4-8pm at Par Troy Funneral Home in Parsippany, NJ.
