Funeral for Jaylynn Marie Stone
Donation protected
On Sunday, January 24th, my best friend Jaylynn Marie Stone passed away. My family and I have been struggling with her loss amidst the battles we are facing during the pandemic. Jaylynn would’ve turned 20 on February 2nd. Jaylynn was so excited to get her hair and nails done for her birthday and finally make it to 20. Everyone that knew Jaylynn knew she was my best friend, my sister, and my family. She was always apart of my family’s life. When Jaylynn had no one, my family and I were there for her. She knew she could always count on us regardless of the situation. We were two peas in a pod and we were emotionally connected in so many ways. I knew her life, her story, and could just relate to so many things. Jaylynn had a very hard upbringing as a child and she’s been through hell and back. Although she battled through so many hardships due to the absence of a real family aside from me and my own, she always persisted. I admired her for that.
As best friends, we did everything together and loved each other’s company. Her laugh got me every time. Her laugh was so contagious and she had big beautiful green hazel eyes. She was absolutely beautiful inside and out.
We were both going to school together at Cape Cod Community College and she was hoping to become a music therapist. She seriously loved music and played many instruments in Falmouth High School. She was apart of the chorus and the Falmouth Marching Band as well. She always immersed herself in music as it was therapy for her. Due to music helping her survive the hardships of high school, her goal was to become a music therapist to help others in the way that music helped her.
Her adoptive mother said she could not have a service for her because of Covid. Even though it is a completely understandable excuse for safety reasons, this is an easy excuse out from the true colors of what is really going on. Jaylynn’s adoptive mother did not have much of a relationship with her and never truly got to know how amazing Jaylynn was. Due to unprecedented circumstances making it hard to fight for Jaylynn’s rights, we hope to hold our own memorial in memory of her. This is what Jaylynn would have wanted -- to remember her with all the things she loved and to be together. I just want to be able to say goodbye to my best friend for the last time. She wanted to travel and have an adventurous life. As college students, this Go Fund Me page is made to help us mourn the loss of our friend, and to have the proper memorial that she deserves. All extra and unused money will be donated to help college students pursuing music therapy in honor of Jaylynn.
These are the loving words of Aundria Jones, Jaylynn’s Best friend. Aundria and her family immediately rushed to the scene the morning Jaylynn passed away and they were the only family present. In the stressful and long hours of everything unfolding, Aundria was there for Jaylynn through it all. This shows that Aundria Jones is Jaylynn’s true family. Aundria has been stripped of her right to properly mourn the loss of her best friend, due to excuses that were made to push aside a proper and immediate funeral. Whatever the adoptive family chooses to do, this go fund me is to help Aundria plan and hold a private memorial for the family and friends of Jaylynn who truly loved her.
