Fundraiser for Chloe Ann
Donation protected
Chloe underwent her first surgery the day after she was born. Doctors discovered she had only 10 cm of small intestine and 40 percent of colon. Tricia Hufnagel-Chapman and her husband, Eric, realized that their youngest child and only daughter would need an intestinal transplant to live.
She’s spent more than half her life at Riley Children’s Hospital under care of the Dr. Charles Vanderpool... trying to just manage her issues and make her grow and thrive. We want people to know more about Chloe’s condition... we want the awareness out about organ donation for all ages. Without this Chloe can’t survive.
On Nov. 6, Chloe received an intestinal transplant. Within two weeks, she developed a severe infection. Chloe’s body rejected the transplant. The Chapman family celebrated Christmas at the hospital and doctors removed the donated organ Dec. 28. Chloe came home Jan. 8, still dependent on a feeding tube. Chloe stopped speaking and cannot walk on her anymore.
Chloe turns 3 years-old in February.
This family is sweet, and very deserving of any help we can give. They have not asked for my help in any way but graciously allowed me to put this together.
