In July 2014, Chris Hopper successfully had a cancerous tumor removed from his colon. Shortly after, tests indicated that his cancer had metastasized. He fought a long, hard battle and died on August 11, 2016. He leaves behind his wife Dianna and his four children Erika, Eryn, Tim and Valerie.
In Dianna's own words, "If you know my husband Chris, you know how much he loves working with his hands, helping other people. He’s a loving husband, and affectionate father to our four awesome and respectful children. In his job as a wheelchair repair technician, Chris cares about the people in the chair and serves them as if he was in the chair himself. And if he comes to your house for a visit or for dinner, he’s probably going to show up with his tool bag so he can fix any loose cabinets or handrails or your lawnmower. This is a guy who never thinks twice about helping others, and hardly saves anything for himself. Each night Chris stops whatever he is doing to play guitar and sing to our children at bedtime."
Di has been a source of strength, compassion and love for so many of us in the community. She has provided loving and safe care in her home for so many of our children. Please help us help her and her family in this time of need. We all know how hard it is to raise a family of four in today's world, let alone now having to do this without a loving spouse and partner.
We appreciate any donation that you can spare.
Love,
Di's Team
