My name is Sam MacDonald and I am 12 years old. For my Bar Mitzvah project, I have decided to raise money for Lung Disease Research in honor of my Grandfather, John MacDonald, who passed away from pulmonary fibrosis this past October. My Goal is to raise $3,000 dollars, and one hundred percent of the money I raise will go to the American Lung Association.
I think it is important to raise money for lung disease research because lung disease kills millions of people every year. In addition, I enjoy cross-country running, where it is critical to get lots of oxygen, so I want to do whatever I can to help support finding a cure for this disease.
