The Gibson Family

          On January 18th, 2021 officer Adam Gibson was shot and killed in the line of duty. He leaves behind his wife, Rachel, and his 9 month old, Sophie.  Officer Gibson was a loving husband and father, and loved by many and this loss has been devastating to his family and the  surrounding community.
           Adam served in the United States Marine Corps and did two tours in Afghanistan. He had been with the Sacramento County Sheriff since 2014. While with the Sacramento Sheriffs office he worked in correction, patrol, and most recently a canine handler. He received the Sheriff's Bronze Star for Bravery and a Major Incident Ribbon in 2018.
          Adam loved to be with his girls on his time off from work, if you knew him you loved him. Adam was always the funniest person in the room with the biggest smile on his face. Adam enjoyed a good time and loved going above and beyond for his friends and family. He was always strong and courageous, even until his final moments in life. He will be greatly missed.
