It only takes a second for your whole world to flip upside down. That is what recently happened to my 16-year-old nephew William after receiving an unexpected diagnosis of Acute Myeloid Leukemia.

Will is an outstanding young man. He is kind, hardworking, compassionate, smart and courageous. Rather than being a carefree teenager, Will is now facing a fight no parent anticipates their child having to battle. Will has begun Chemotherapy and will be receiving treatment for the next 9 months. He is receiving treatments several hours away from his home. Due to the travel and having other young children at home my brother and sister-in-law will be facing many logistical and financial challenges ahead of them. Along with future medical bills, they will also have travel, lodging and meal expenses as they help Will receive the best care.
