YPLA Keeping Jewish Souls Connected
YPLA is the go-to option for young men (17-25 yr) in Los Angeles who want to continue learning Torah part-time, while they pursue their academic and work goals. YPLA provides a rigorous morning learning program within the super-charged environment of the LINK Kollel. Our Program Director, Rabbi Aryeh Steinman, has developed a true chevra of camaraderie and support, by coordinating fun events, trips and Shabbatons.
I started this program after my son graduated a yeshiva high school . He wanted to pursue an academic degree, yet wanted to continue learning Torah part-time. I understood that he needed to be grounded with strong Jewish values as he walked onto a college campus, and YPLA was born!
It soon became apparent there was an urgent need for this type of flexible part-time program in Los Angeles. Last year over 40 young men took advantage of classes at YPLA!
YPLA's policy is to be available for every young man who is motivated to continue learning Torah. Without this connection, many boys disconnect from Jewish life as they deal with the challenges on a college campus or in work environments.
Your investment in YPLA is an investment in these young men, as well as the Los Angeles Jewish Community! YPLA is independently funded and needs your help immediately to pay for basics like rabbi and teacher salaries, breakfast food, supplies, marketing and administrative costs.
