Bill's Rally Against Cancer

Donation protected
This GoFundMe Campaign is intended to assist William Evans offset any and all Medical expenses that he might incur over the course of the next couple months as he battles Stage 4 pancreatic cancer.

Below is Bills's story:

Bill is 55 years old and at this age he would never have expected to be here at this point in his life.  Bill worked with Men’s Wearhouse for over 25 years in California and was offered a job transfer in Atlanta in 2008.  After an additional 7 years of working retail he decided to work for himself. He started a brand new job venture last year in 2015 and opened his own Farmers Insurance Agency.  He was extremely proud and motivated to venture off on his own.

Bill has been married for 19 years to his lovely wife, Tammy Evans.  He has two beautiful daughters, Alexis, 21 and Aliya,18.  They are his world!  Bill met his wife Tammy, during her job interview at Men's Wearhouse in Southern California.

Pancreatic cancer is considered Stage IV if it has spread to distant locations in the body, such as the liver, lungs, or adjacent organs including the stomach, spleen, and/or the bowel. Sometimes it can only be determined that a pancreatic cancer is in Stage IV once surgery is completed.

Stage IV pancreatic cancer is generally not removable by surgery and is therefore rarely curable and often difficult to control. A surgical procedure may be possible to reduce symptoms and improve quality of life in some patients, but the recommended treatment for advanced pancreatic cancer typically consists of chemotherapy. The standard chemotherapy treatment of pancreatic cancer is Gemzar® (gemcitabine)-based chemotherapy.

The following is a general overview of treatment for Stage IV pancreatic cancer. Treatment may consist of surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, biological therapy, or a combination of these treatment techniques. Multi-modality treatment is treatment using two or more techniques, and is increasingly recognized as an important approach for improving a patient’s chance of cure or prolonging survival. In some cases, participation in a clinical trial utilizing new, innovative therapies may provide the most promising treatment.

Bill starts his first chemo treatment on the 16th of August.  We are praying that all treatments are successful and he can continue on with his wonderful life.

Donations will help ease the financial stress of keeping his family afloat and allow him to not get further into debt, trying to provide for his family and trying to afford medical expenses.

Thank you for sharing and please donate to this good cause if you are able to do so. Words cannot express how much your donations mean to their lives.

WE ALL LOVE YOU BILL AND PLEASE CONTINUE TO FIGHT!!!!!!!
