Joan's Journey - Chemotherapy

Hello everyone! My name is Kim and I want to introduce to you a very special friend of mine.  Her name is Joan Brigante.   Joan is a precious wife, mother of 4 and a dear friend.  Joan has breast cancer that has metastasized.  This is Joan's 3rd battle with cancer.  At this point, all of the usual chemotherapy and hormone treatments are not a recommended treatment for her.  The medication recommendation is an oral chemotherapy that is quite costly.  Joans insurance will cover some of the cost, but the copayment  per month is very high.  Mike, Joans husband, has had to cut his work week down to three days per week.  Joan's daughter, Chelsea, has also stopped working full time to help with Joan's daily needs.  Joan needs help with all of her daily living including dressing, bathing, fixing meals, etc.  Our hope in building this Go Fund Me page  is to help Joan and Mike by giving them the gift of not having to worry that they will have the money to pay for that one particular medication.  There are many medications at this point, but Mike and Joan would never ask for everything....only to not have to worry about this one medication.  Joans home health nurse contacted the pharmacuetical company that manufacturers this drug and they do not offer any help or programs.  Joan recently met a hearts desire by being able to attend her youngest sons high school graduation.  Joan has one more hearts desire and it is to see her son graduate from boot camp at Lackland Air Force Base this September 21st.  This will take  extra funds due to the medical help it will take to get Joan there.  It is my prayer that we can help Joan be here through your prayers and financial help  to see her hearts desire happen.  God Bless you all and thank you so very much.
