My name's Vanessa, and this is my beautiful 10-year-old daughter Leah. I'll be honest, I'm struggling to even do this GoFundMe as I was raised to work even harder for the things you want. But unfortunately, no matter how hard you work these days, it's harder to live.

That being said, my little girl's health took a turn a few years ago. Countless doctor's appointments trying to get someone to help us. Meanwhile, she's had non-stop blood work, diets, many sick days, and more. The medication we need to help her is expensive and insurance is fighting us. This medication will help her liver, as well as hopefully prevent diabetes, as she's currently borderline. Her dad and I managed to pay for a month's worth, but she will need months if not years.

We are continuing to find other options, as we were told at her appointment but had no idea we would be last second told it's out of pocket. So in the meantime, just making sure she has it now gives us more time to come up with something else. This wasn't a 'we will wait till we can save up,' this was a 'she needs to start it now!' So that being said, any and all help is appreciated. Even if you can't donate, just sharing this means the world to us.

Push come to shove, we will move mountains to get her the care, but with my medical issues and the cost of living these days, we sometimes have to swallow our pride and ask for a little help till we can have a better plan. Thank you.
