Miss Lacey is my 8 year old Australian Cattle Dog mix. She's also my shadow. This past Monday I noticed something very wrong with her. Her stomach was hard and bloated, she was lethargic and her gums were pale. I rushed her to the Animal ER where they tapped her belly and found blood. She wound up in surgery the next day to have her spleen removed. At that time they found another tumor on her liver and it was the one that was bleeding. Her liver was then resected. That first night in recovery, they thought she was stroking and I thought I was going to lose my sweet friend. Her recovery was long and a lot more complicated than it was hoped to be. That made the price really skyrocket. And FYI, the spleen tumor is benign, but the liver tumor was a hepatocellular carcinoma, but if excised completely with no micro-metastasis recovery should be complete.
I hate asking for anything, seriously....ANYTHING. But it would mean so much to me if you could help me pay down this bill. I frankly don't expect to raise the whole amount and I think that would be asking too much, but if you could just help out with the price of a daily latte, that would make a huge difference in getting this bill paid off.
I do want to thank all the vets and vet techs that helped her at the Southern Colorado Veterinary Internal Medicine Center and the Pet Emergency center next door. As well as her personal vet Lisa Bausch who thank goodness was on call Monday night and was willing to talk to me and the emergency vet in the wee hours of the morning.
Thank you for any amount you can and are willing to donate.
