Hey so you know those like hairy snake things that grow from the top of my head? You know? My dreadlocks? Yeah well I'm gonna cut them off on the 30th of this month.
Now before you start bawling your eyes out just hear me out. I've had them for like 8 or 9 years now and I'm just after a change. Wanna try going without them for a bit. See if you all just hang out with me because you love enjoy waggling your eyebrows at me every time a Bob Marley song comes on. What songs will you waggle your eyebrows at me for after they're gone? Let's find out together.
So why the fundraiser? Well I figure this is a good opportunity to introduce you to my favourite charity: Smiletrain. They are amazing. They are a non-profit organisation that fixes cleft palates for children in developing countries. I've attached a link to their page so you can get more info but the key point is a whole surgery to fix a child's life costs only $250. That allows kids to eat properly, stops them from being excluded from schooling and getting employment and most importantly allows them to smile again. Seriously go check out some of their stories if you want a warm fuzzy cry session.
So help me change some lives just by making the biggest change to my appearance in almost a decade. It's a minor change in comparison for me to what we can do for children who've been dealt a pretty rough hand, but one that can be remedied.
Give what you can! Anything is appreciated. Thanks for reading!
