Keanu is a beautiful little cream colored kitten whom I adopted at 12
weeks of age. He was much smaller that his siblings and so cute
and cuddly that my heart knew right away that he was the kitten for me.
I had just lost my 18 year old cat a couple of months before. I decided
to adopt his adorable brother Kai as well so they would always have each
other for company. They are inseparable. I have since learned that Keanu is small because he has a terrible disease called Wet FIP. It is basically a mutated coronavirus in cats that only a small percentage of cats suffer from. Up until recently it was almost always fatal. Their abdomen/chest fills with fluid. You can see in the picture that his abdomen is full of fluid. However,there is hope. GS-441524 is the biologically active component of Remdesivir and has been widely used around the world to safely and effectively cure cats of feline infectious peritonitis (FIP) for over 18 months. This medicine could save Keanu's life and I have started him on it, but it's very expensive and I am quickly approaching the
end of my resources to pay for it. It breaks my heart that his first few months of life have been so traumatic. Losing him now would be devastating for me and for his brother Kai. I would truly appreciate any help you could give
to help me save my kitty from this awful disease.
