I am starting this campaign to help the true love of my life, Robert (Bob) Sprague. Reagrdless of how you know him, work, school, softball, "Coach Sprague", fishing, or most importantly dedicated and loving father to Colin and Tanner, we all know what kind of man we are dealing with. He is the kindest, caring, and generous man and always the first person to offer help if a friend is in need. Well, unfortunatly, now he needs our help. A few months ago, Bob went to the doctor for what he thought was just a lingering sore throat. Little did we expect, after months of testing, that he would be diagnosed with Stage 4 Squamous Cell Carcinoma. The tumor on his tonsil has already spread to his Lymph node.
Bob is currently at the beginning of his treatment course, which includes 7-8 weeks of chemotherapy and intensive radiation 5 days a week, before a decision regarding surgery can even be made. His plan was to battle through and work as long as he possibly could throught the process however, Bob informed me tonight that this is all finally starting to take it's toll and that tomorrow will be his last day of work. He has a great (yet physical) job and yes he does have medical insurance. Unfortunatly, though, his job does not offer ANY disability pay or sick/vacation days for that matter, so there will be NO income coming in until this is over. Bob needs our help to keep his head afloat so that he can still be able to take care of his children and his household bills. We havent even begun to see what the co pays will be, can't wait for that one!!!
Please help me to help this amazing man and keep his spirits up as best we can!
Much love,
Betsy
