Patrick Richie memorial fundraiser

Hello, I am raising funds to send Richie home to Arizona and help his niece he was raising. He tragically passed away, and no one was prepared for the loss. Anything helps. Richie/Patrick was the epitome of a sweet soul. He was always willing to help any and everyone. He was a man of few words, but to know him was to love him.

Patrick "Richie" Thomas, 58, passed away on June 7, 2025, in Independence, Missouri. Born on March 25, 1967, in Arizona, Richie lived a life marked by quiet strength and a generous heart.

A man of few words but immense warmth, Richie was known for his sweet soul and unwavering loyalty. Those who knew him often said that to know Richie was to love him. His presence brought comfort and calm, and his kindness left a lasting impression on everyone he met.

Richie found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He had a deep love for the game of pool and could often be found at the table with cue in hand, focused and steady. A proud supporter of the Dallas Cowboys, he never missed a chance to cheer on his team—“Go Cowboys” was more than a phrase; it was part of who he was.

He leaves behind his beloved children, Candace and Patrick Jr., and his cherished granddaughter Chloe. His memory will also live on through his siblings Russell, Haygah, Haynah, Jamie, and Katrina; as well as his nieces and nephews Stacie, Gina, Elizabeth, Max, Sofia, Le'ola, Athena, and Malachi.

Richie was preceded in death by his father; his mother Flo; his brother JT; and his grandparents. Their memories remain woven into the fabric of those who loved them.

He was a proud member of the Tohono O'odham tribe. He loved attending pow wows and making his mom's famous fry bread.

Though words were not always his chosen form of expression, Richie’s actions spoke volumes. His legacy is one of quiet compassion and steadfast love—a reminder that sometimes the gentlest souls leave the deepest marks.

May his memory bring comfort to those who knew him..
