I will never forget the day I was told I Colon Cancer stage 4 with metastatic liver cancer. It was January 27, 2014. All I could think of was I'm gonna die and never see my children or grandbaby grow up. Knowing I had 3 years to live. I started treatment right away. On February 14,16 I had a power port put in my chest. And 2 weeks after I started aggressive chemo. Which left me sick as a dog. I wanted to die just from the chemo. Then I got a second opinion from Cancer Treatment Centers of America and went to Phoenix Arizona. I had more chemo 2 surgeries 1 was to remove a foot of my intestines and another for my liver 3 resections. Plus removal of my gallbladder. I lost alot of blood had 3 blood transfusions and was put in a drug induced coma. The cancer spread to my lungs now. I am still receiving chemo every 2 weeks now at Hollings Cancer Center in Charleston because the flying back and forth to Arizona was to much on my body. I had emergency surgery on August 25, 2016 to remove my port because of blood clots in my port and the vein going to my heart it was a risky surgery I thought it was the end. It was called superior vena cava syndrome. I have to take oral chemo now. Which is giving me burns on my hands and feet and causes the skin to peel off it's very painful. But still I go on. The new year is here and I need help with my medical bills. I have to have insurance or I won't be able to get the help I need. Your continued support is very much appreciated.
