"Heaven gained another angel this morning at 7:20am. Dad you were the greatest man I know and you meant the world to me. You were my first love, my first hero, and my walking talking jeopardy know it all. I will miss you every single day, and no one will ever be able to fill your shoes, or the giant hole in my heart. You taught me everything I know, and I will do my best to make you proud every single day. My future will kids will get tired of hearing how amazing their grandfather was and how you walked up all those hills in the snow with crap shoes to get to school everyday and didn't complain once. You truly were the most selfless guy, and I will love and cherish you every single day. I love you so much dad, rest easy. Now you can watch Harry Potter whenever you want." Megan DeLaurentis

"On my Dad's 52nd birthday, less than 2 years ago, I wrote him a letter describing how much he meant to me, and how eternally grateful I am for teaching me how to be a good man. When I gave him this letter, he cried and hugged me as hard as he could, so I know it meant a lot to him, and I know he would cherish it forever. When I looked in his room to find it where he keeps all of his gifts from his family, I was heart broken because I didn't see it. I wanted to bury it with him, because it was one of the most sentimental gifts I had given him. Disheartened, I kept my head up through the day as I had to look for important documentation in his fireproof safe in the basement. When I opened the safe, tears ran down my face as I saw what laid inside. This letter meant so much to my dad that he kept it inside the safe, ensuring nothing would ever happen to it. I immediately made a copy for myself to always remember that moment I shared with you, because the original copy will rest with you, with the envelope unsealed so you can read it whenever you want. Signed with the same signature you always used,
Love always,
Paul (Your Big Guy) "
