This is Gina. She just turned 13 years old June 22. In April of 2016 Gina went to the Doctors because of a lump in her neck. Doctor tell her she sprained her neck and she will be fine. The lump keeps getting bigger and she goes back. This time her mother tells the doctor you need to do some test, and he does. Said results come back as mono. Elevated white cells, swollen spleen, tired all the time, yes it's mono. The lump still doesn't go down. Now with the demanding from Gina's mom, Gina is sent to a surgeon. The surgeon said we need to remove the lump and have it tested. This took place the beginning of June. Results come back thinking it was a infection or two that cause this to happen. In July, Gina goes back to Doctor, the surgeon, still with more swollen lymphnode, and spleen, and is told your good, and released her. August 2 , 2016 The phone call no one ever wants to gets comes. It's the Doctor who released her saying he just got back results from 3 pathogens and is sorry to say it's Hodgkins Lymphoma. Gina and her family lives in a small town Kingston, Tennessee. Kingston is 35 miles west of Knoxville Tennessee. Gina will be going to Nashville, Tennessee to Vanderbilt Hospital for her cancer treatments. This is a 3 hours drive west of Kingston. Gina is going to have a long hard fight being they have misdiagnosed her since April. Her mother will be by her side ever step of the way so she will not be able to work. Medical bills, transportation, fuel, motels bills will be piling up. We are asking for any help possible you can do. Thank you from Gina's Fight supporters.
