THOR NEEDS A DIAGNOSIS -
He went on a hike to the river on Friday morning, all was fine, no incidents occurred. Friday night his back legs seemed a bit stiff and he was fatigued but we didn't think anything of it after his eventful day. The next morning/day he was stiffly walking on his hind limbs not even bending his knees. He rested for a day with hope that he just went too hard the day before. By Sunday he was declining - no longer using his hind legs and unable to walk and use the bathroom on his own. His abdomen was extremely tense and we thought maybe he was obstructed or had a back injury. We took him to Emergency and they did blood work & radiographs (both unremarkable). They thought he was severely constipated which was pushing on his bladder and causing the discomfort in his abdomen. They kept him overnight on IV fluids to pass the stool. We took him home the next morning without a diagnosis so the Dr. HIGHLY recommends taking him to see a Neurologist for a suspect back injury. It can take MONTHS to get an appointment so he'll be needing to go in on emergency which we all know means more $$$$. Unfortunately, this is our last option and could really use all the help we can get to figure out what he needs to get better. Thank you so much in advance, Thor appreciates it❤️
