Jamie's medical expenses
Donation protected
Hi. My name is Denise. I am raising money for the Schmidt family who is experiencing a serious medical issue with their father Jamie. His wife, Dana is my niece and they have 3 beautiful children ranging from age 2 to 6 years old. He has contracted necrotizing fasciitis which is a fancy name for flesh eating disease and has already had two surgeries to his groinal area which was excruciatingly painful. Once home he will need medical assistance 2 times a day to clean and redress the incisions from surgery which by the way have to be healed from inside so there are no stitches. We are talking very lengthy and deep incisions here.
Jamie works for a trucking company called Dove Creek which has no Union and therefore no benefits. This will be taking a toll on their income as Jamie does not have insurance as he is also diabetic and did not qualify for insurance on their mortgage nor do they have insurance for any medications that he will need once he is home for a lengthy recovery. We hope that he will be back to work by Christmas but that will depend on his disease being eliminated completely.
Unfortuneately the medical expenses will continue as well as mortgage payments, groceries, and other expenses that come from raising 3 small children. My niece Dana is currently unemployed but hopes to be back to work as the school year approaches but that also depends on postings from the school board for temporary positions that may be available.
They could really use some help financially ASAP as Jamie has already been off of work for almost a month. This would mean so much to me as they are a very beautiful family. When Jamie was working he was putting in up to 70 hours per week to support his family. Now with that being no longer the case the extra strain on his physical health as well as mental health needs to be lightened so that he can concentrate on becoming healthy and return to his job which he so enjoyed.
I would appreciate any financial help that they could receive as they have enough on their plate just trying to get him healthy once again. If you are not able to contribute then please keep him and the family in your prayers.
Thanks for taking the time to read this.
