My brother Kris Osborn has been struggling with some very serious health issues.  Kris is a self- employed carpenter and has been unable to work for the last 4 months and has no health insurance.  He has high iron levels in the blood, an enlarged liver and a 100% blockage of a major artery in the abdomen that is not allowing Kris to receive any nutrients from what he eats and may be contributing to the high iron levels and enlarged liver.  He has lost close to 50 lbs. since May of this year and is extremely weak and sick. Doctors suspect cancer but have not been able to find any even after running many blood tests, x-rays, scans and many other costly diagnostic tests. Doctors have decided that the artery blockage procedure needs to be done before they continue searching for a definitive diagnosis.  The procedure to clear the artery is very invasive and at this point Kris is too weak/malnourished to have the procedure.  Doctors want to put him on 3 weeks of total parenteral nutrition (IV feeding) to build him up so he is strong enough to have surgery. The cost of the IV feeding is $800.00 a day. We need to get Kris started on the IV feedings as soon as possible as he is getting weaker every day.  As I stated above Kris has been unable to work for 4 months now and all of his savings has been spent just to pay the everyday bills, buy medicine and keep gas in the car to make it to all the doctor appointments. Kris has strong Cunningham Kansas ties.   Anything you are able to donate would be so deeply appreciated.
