Support for Kevin’s New Heart

Kevin Kinchen, is a native of the populous city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina. Kevin is very dedicated and has become a pillar in these great communities. He is a Husband, Father, Pastor, and Community Leader who leads with honor and compassion.

September 07 2023, his health took a major turn and changed his life, as he was diagnosed with End Stage Congestive Heart Failure. This was the first of many hospitalizations where his heart continued to decline. The news was sudden and very difficult for our family to handle. Being sent home to cope with the symptoms of heart failure was even more difficult, as our children, family, friends, and church family had to watch him suffer.

As a family, we do EVERYTHING together, but since the diagnosis, things changed. As the weeks and months went by, it became harder for Kevin to enjoy family time. On a normal night, we would sit down and eat dinner together as a family. However, just coming downstairs became the most difficult task. Days leading up to his final hospital stay, I noticed he was just very tired and really having a hard time with simple morning tasks, like putting his shirt over his head and buttoning it. That was when I knew, his condition worsened.

Recently, his physician told us that Kevin's heart was very sick and he would need to have a heart transplant. All in all, I must say to see the CHAMPION in him despite his condition is very inspiring.

Although Kevin is a firm believer of God’s great healing power, he needs the help of his friends, family & community.
