Help Toby To Start Horsin' Around
Donation protected
Toby (New Name) because you can't have a horse with no name was left abandoned by his former owner (person unknown) at my daughter (Jordan Clear) and her boyfriend (Chris Dermond) house in which they just moved into a few weeks ago. They are on a 15 acre farm with a fenced pasture and a barn but do not have horses.
A man rode this horse saddled to their property and was picked up by another man on a red chevrolet pickup and they just left him. The authorities were contacted and they are looking for this individual.
Toby is very malnourished, has hoof rot and many cuts and sores on his little body. We want to give him a fighting chance for survial and a new life. It seems that our county does not have a "horse plan" for situations like this, so we are going to nurse this horse to health so he will feel like horsin around.

My daughter is in the US Coast Guard and lives off of a military salary and the vet bills, supplies, and farrier bills will be daunting but she and Chris have the stamina to help this horse have a life he so deserves.
Just today, he had a bath because he was covered in filth, flies, fesces and by the end of the bath he was already acting much better. We have begun to nurse the wounds ourselves but for survival he will have to have many vet visits, a farrier to help with his hooves and food and supples. Please help us help Toby to look and feel like the horse he so deserves to be.
This is truly heartbreaking that there are people right in our county that can treat innocent animals so cruel.
