Hello, My name is Amanda Sabo-Pastirik. I am trying to raise money for my mom Carol to help her with the accumulated Medical Bills and Medical expenses. On November 23, 2011, she was sadly diagnosed with colon/rectal cancer. Following her diagnoses, she had several surgeries to remove the tumor, portions of her liver, and to reconstruct her colon, and received a permanent colostomy bag. From that point she went through several rounds of radiation and chemotherapy to help rid her body of this terrible disease. We had high hopes she would make a full recovery. For the next 3 years my Mom received maintenance chemoptherapy once a month. My family and her Doctors were hopeful she would make a full recovery. In June 2015, my Mom went for her annual oncology appointment. At that time, it was discovered from a Catscan that the cancer had spread to her liver and lungs. For the next several months following the heartbreaking news, my Mom continued monthly rounds of chemotherapy until she started experiencing uncontrollable dehydration and weight loss which interfered with any continued treatments. So over the last 4.5 years my Mom has faced an up and downhill battle which has placed financial burden on the family. Between trips to hospitals, medications, medical supplies and other medical needs, her insurance only covers so much and unfortunately has put my family in alot of debt and we can not afford her accruing medical bills. My Mom is a FIGHTER and has been fighting for her life for the past 4.5 years and I am trying to raise money to help take away some of the stress of the financial burden off of my Mom and Dad. They have enough too worry about on a day to day basis with my Mom's failing health. What keeps my Mom fighting is her endless LOVE for her 2 Boxers Lilly & Sadie and her 3 BEAUTIFUL grandkids Noah, Camden & Mollie. I will FOREVER be grateful for any amount raised to help the 2 people in this world, my Mom & Dad, who have ALWAYS helped me, loved and cared for me and been on my side throughout my life.
