Nancy Needs US!
Please meet my cousin Nancy. She's the cute one on the end on the right side of the picture. The other people in that picture are her in-laws, her husband of 24 years Brian, and her 3 children. Her oldest son is Brian, he is 22. Tyler is 18, and Alex is her youngest at age 9.
Usually you would find Nancy out and about in her community. She's worked for 13 years now for the town of Minisk, as well as Wits End Tavern for several years. She volunteered in all her childrens classes, coached soccer for 2 year and taught Religious Education @ Holy Cross Church. All while being a great wife, and a wonderful mother!
All that changed Thanksgiving of 2015 when she felt a lump in her neck. She had the lump biopsied and on Christmas Eve. she found out it was a cancerous lymphnode. After numerous painful tests, it was determined she had "CUP" -cancer of unknown primary (they don't know where the primary cancer started) Which made treating her cancer different than others. They basically set off an "atomic bomb" of chemo in her system to attack everything, they did this several times to her. The cancer continued to grow and travel to additional areas. Lesions have been found in her liver, additional lymphnodes as well as her bones. Nancy's pelvis has fractured and hips have cracked due to the chemotherapy & radiation. During all this, she has managed to stay positive and have a sense of humor, which is imperative.
Nancy had emergency gall bladder surgery, only to return to the hospital later for an infection she got while in the hospital.
Nancy's huband Brian has been by her side every step of the way, from 6 hour chemo sesssions to the aftermath of chemo and radiation.
The family could use any type of financial help you are able to share with them. This will help offset the surmounting doctor bills, and Brian taking off time from work to be with Nancy at any time she needs him. Alleviating some of the financial stress would be such a huge blessing to the Churko's right now. It would mean they could put even more focus where it needs to be, on helping Nancy get well, to be there for her family, and to watch them grow up.
Thank you in advance for each and every donation. The family is so grateful to have you in their lives!
