Adely Martinez Medical Fund

My name is Joyce Rowley. Twenty-eight years ago my son had a near drowning accident that sent him to Seattle Children's Hospital for about 2 months. While there our community of Basin City, WA held an Ice Cream Benefit that raised some money to help us with the expenses occured while at the hospital. The money raised not only helped a financial need but more importantly it soothed an emotional need. It gave us support and strength. We knew there were people who were praying for our son and that gave us the courage to face the ensuing hours, days and years. 12 days ago Friday, August 12th, Adely Martinez, a beautiful 18 year old girl, a member of our community, a friend of my daughter's, a friend of mine, was coming home from University of Washington's Freshman orientation. Adely was involved in a very serious car accident where her car was T-boned by a semi truck. She was the only one in her car and the semi hit the driver's side directly. With no other reason than God's tender mercy, Adely is alive and survived that tragic 20 seconds. However, she has been in intensive care at the hospital for the last 12 days fighting for every additonal hour she is given. She has shown she is a fighter. She has had several miracles these last 12 days that gives her family great hope that their sweet Adely will be able to continue chasing her dreams. Her parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles have dropped everything to be by her side. I am hoping we, her community family, her friends and extended family can help alleviate the financial stress that lies ahead by donating money through GoFundMe.
I know we will not only help the financial stress, but we can also be a source of emotional support during this extremely hard time. We can be a tender mercy for this wonderful family who have spent their lives in service to our community, as school secretaries, para-eds, mechanics, food providers, and Christ-like service that has touched so many. Our family was with their family at the hospital last weekend and I personally saw the miracle of a tiny smile that crossed her face as I mentioned my daughter's name. I heard her raspy whisper "I love you" directed to her mom who so lovingly tells her to remember to breathe. Thank you all for your prayers and support for this great family. Adely estuvo involucrada en un accidente de coche muy grave cuando su automóvil fue chocado por un camión. Ella era la única en su coche y el camión golpeó el lado del conductor directamente.
