Help the Chadwick Family Repair Their Home

Recently, it has come to our attention that close patrons of the Texas Smoke BBQ family and valued members of our local community, are in need of all our help. If anyone truly knows the Chadwick family, they will attest that in times of need, without hesitation, this family will give the shirts off of their backs for anyone. Well, now they need our shirts! On behalf of Texas Smoke BBQ, we’d like to take the opportunity to show our support by holding a fundraiser on Monday, December 17th from 6pm to 10pm at the restaurant. A portion of those proceeds will be given to the Chadwick family to hopefully help guide the family through the holiday season during a dark chapter in their generous lives.
Bill is a special education language arts teacher at Sparta High School, and Holly is a nurse practitioner.
During the early afternoon on August 31, 2018, the family had an electrical fire in their home. Luckily, no one was injured. Over the last several months the Chadwicks have called the Homewood Suites in Dover their “home.” During this time, they have endured delays, insurance company red tape, and the pleas of their two young boys, ages 4 and 10, wanting to go home.
For the most part, they have been able to financially cover the costs for repairs and living expenses. However, due to the significant delays with the electric company, insurance company, and mitigation, they are now faced with a substantial mold issue. Unfortunately in New Jersey, there is a mold cap of $10,000. This amount will not cover the extensive loss to wood furniture, cabinetry, doors, and other organic material throughout their home.
On Monday, December 17, Texas Smoke BBQ in Jefferson, New Jersey will be hosting a fundraiser buffet dinner in an effort to assist the Chadwicks in making their home safe again and getting them back home. For those who are unable to attend, Texas Smoke BBQ has set up this GoFundMe page as well.
The family is extremely grateful for all of the help that they have been receiving from friends, family, and community members. Anyone who knows this loving and caring family, understands that they do not require material things to make them happy. However, they do need their safe home back for their children! This family deserves our help and quite frankly, needs it!
