Flood Relief for Assam in India

Once again the overall flood situation in Assam, a north east state of India, has created havoc for over 1.7 m people across 19 districts and thousands of animals in the Kaziranga National Park are displaced. Over 322 relief camps have been setup and every day we are witnessing heart breaking stories of flood affected people and animals.

And it's time for us to act now; can we join hands together to help these flood affected people? We are starting a fund raising drive. All funds will be used to buy basic needed items and distribute among the affected people.

I am Anjana Bordoloi residing in MD, USA with origin from Assam. The funds will be transferred to Kalaguru Artiste Foundation from Assam who will distribute the materials to the flood affected people. Kalaguru Artiste Foundation distributed over Rs. 30 lakhs worth of materials to the flood affected people last year. We plan to publish the List of the Donors, Cost of Materials and Name of the Distributed Areas. We are starting the distribution of materials in Aug 2nd week.
