UPDATE: We need to raise only $50...THATS IT!...so we need 5 people to give $10 each and we'll reach our goal! So, after two previous failed tries (October 8 and December 17), as the culmination of our year-long experiment between our Black, white, Latino and Hispanic students, the "Race, Rhetoric, Relationship & Reconciliation Project" (RRR&R Project) will together, Lord willing, attend the new Smithsonian National Museum of African American History & Culture in Washington, D.C. (which opened its doors on September 24, 2016) on Saturday, April 1, 2017. The "Race, Rhetoric, Relationship & Reconcilation Project", a joint initiative between New Vision Fellowship Pittsburgh (a mostly black CCO-affiliated campus group at CCAC, Pitt & Chatham) and Cornerstone Christian Fellowship (a mostly white CCO-affiliated campus group at Pitt), we'll travel together, continuing our on-going and provocative dialogue about race, justice and unity in the context of travel, community and curated American history. We're raising money to make this experience a reality for a few dozen students who are committed to pursue right understanding, righteousness action and right relationships in the context of our present society. Will you help us make this trip and all that comes with it happen for these college students? We're raising $2,100: ● for the cost of van rentals ● to help defray the costs for students regarding the educational materials associated with the learning objectives set for this trip We hope to hear from you to help us reach our financial goals. Thank you very much for your support...God bless.
