Help Ellicott City Business Owner

My very good friends, Sara Arditti and her husband David Dempster, own Still Life Gallery Fine Art & Custom Framing, a small local business in Historic Ellicott City. It was destroyed in the July 30th Ellicott City flood in Maryland.
David witnessed the carnage first-hand, and was part of the human chain formed in the video, saving a young woman from her floating car.
David and Sara are good people. I am their good friend and live near them in Ellicott City. They are known for extending a helping hand to all new business owners who come to Main Street. David (and others) even risked their own safety to save a woman's life. David and Sara are always helping other people, and so now, I want to help them.
Still Life Gallery was David and Sara’s dream. In their four years on Main Street, they used the Gallery to give back to their community. They exhibited the work of local artists, and helped to launch and further the careers of more than 70 local artists (including some who thought they could never fulfill their own dreams of showing their work in a gallery).
Sara is a founding member of the Ellicott City Arts Coalition, and has worked tirelessly to make Main Street into an arts-centered community. She helped organize art events such as Ellicott City ArtWalk and Main St Gallery Hop. County Executive Allan Kittleman appointed Sara to be his Howard County representative on the Baltimore Museum of Art Board of Trustees, furthering the Main Street art scene.
As Gallery owners, David and Sara do a lot of their work out of love, and do not make large profits. The Gallery was also a custom frame shop, well-known for its expert framing. All of the equipment in the on-site basement framing shop was destroyed in the flood, as water filled it to the ceiling. Sadly, framing was the main source of income for the Gallery. Along with most of the Main Street small businesses, Still Life Gallery is closed for an indefinite period. It will be many months before recovery, due to extensive infrastructure damage to the entire community. During this time many small business owners are suffering a loss of income and means of supporting themselves, if indeed, they are ever able to open again at all.
Please donate if you can, and spread the word by sharing this site link. All money will go directly to Sara and David to help them with their losses and hopefully reopen their business. They have sole control and access over this account.
