Diesel, my three year old German Shepherd, was hit by a car late yesterday afternoon. He was rushed to a vet and after several blood transfusions, X-rays and IV fluids and pain meds, he is now stable. His spleen has stopped bleeding thanks to the tight wrap around his abdomen. He will be stable enough to move by tomorrow morning.
The X-rays reveal that his rear femur is shattered and will require plates and pins to put back together. The cost of the vet who saved his life will be $1375. The cost to reconstruct his femur will be $4-$5k.
I am out of work have no way to give Diesel the medical care he needs.
He is currently at Bay Beach Veterinary Hospital in Virginia Beach. 757-340-3913.
Help Diesel receive the care he needs!
